Nasik: A five-day agricultural exhibition Krishithon:2015, which concluded on Monday attracted around 1.75 lakh visitors during five days. More than 250 companies took part in the event believe that over the next six months, a business worth Rs 100 crore may be generated by of the expo.
Vitthal Phalke, from Rohit Agro said, “We manufacture seeds planters for all crops from onion to wheat. We had very good response during the expo as around 40,000 visitors visited our stalls. We made sales worth Rs 2 lakh on the spot and received bookings of 75 seeds planters worth Rs 22 lakh from farmers.” He added, “We are also expecting sale of 50 planters worth through enquiries during next six months.”
Sanjay Nyaharkar, director of Media Exhibition, was the one to say the exhibition is expected to generate around Rs 100 crore business during next few months. Chetan Dedhia, from a company that manufactures plastic covers and orchard nets for protective farming said, We expect to cover around 50 acres under plastic covers and orchard nets in the next few months. We expect business worth Rs 5 crore over a year’s time.
Mukesh Bhatt, Sales head, Captain Tractors Pvt Ltd said, “We received bookings of 10 tractors of Rs 35 lakh during the expo. Moreover, we are expecting the sale of 50 units through enquiries.”
